City parks with walking paths and hundreds of miles of nearby trails make the Missoula Valley one of the best places to explore on foot.

With two rivers, the Clark Fork and the Bitterroot, there is a myriad of opportunities for fishing, swimming, boating, and canoeing.

River Rafting
Discover whitewater rafting and scenic river trips near Missoula.

Bicycling
With designated trails and miles of mountain trails, there are endless opportunities for safe, and enjoyable rides.

Theater
Missoula Children’s Theatre, The University of Montana, and the Missoula Symphony present musicals, concerts, and other events. There are also three cinemas in Missoula.

Missoula Carousel / Dragon Hollow
Ride the first fully hand-carved carousel in America in the last sixty years. Dragon Hollow kids park is adjacent to the Carousel.

Smokejumpers Center
The Smokejumper visitor center is the largest active smokejumper base in the nation. The center features videos, lookout tower, and exhibits dealing with the men and women who have protected our national forests since 1939.

Historical Museum at Fort Missoula
The Historical Museum consists of two parts: indoor galleries with long-term and changing exhibits, and the outdoor arena with 12 historic structures including a restored one-room school-house and U.S. Forest Service lookout.

St. Francis Xavier Church
The Church built in 1889, the year Montana became a state and is outstanding for its graceful steeple, its paintings and stained glass windows.

Shopping
For some, shopping is a recreational sport. We have the Southgate Mall with over 100 stores. Downtown shopping is a treat with an eclectic mix of different shops and stores.

Gambling
For this particular entertainment, we have two casinos nearby, The Claim Jumper and The Best Bet.

Health Clubs
We are just a few minutes from the YMCA.
